The Summer Olympics in Tokyo may not have started yet, but here in Edgemont, we've already had great success...in Math Olympiads! Twenty-four students from Seely and Greenville were recognized for scoring within the top 50% of all participants.
Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins recently sponsored an "I Have a Dream" video project, asking students to reflect upon and celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and Dr. King's contributions and accomplishments. Twenty-seven Greenville students participated in this project, and they have each been recognized by Senator Stewart-Cousins for their work. Sixth Grades Kadiatou Diallo and Shirin Sadoughi were recently recognized and awarded gift cards for their submissions to the Black People's History Before "Black" History K-12 essay challenge.
